14 DAY TRIAL // Mark you date in the calendar because singer Alicia Keys has just announced that she's pregnant with her second child with her husband Swizz Beats. The announcement was made by the happy couple on Instagram on Thursday, July 31, by showing off her baby bump.
Alicia Keys and Swizz Beats already have a child together, 3-year-old Egypt, and the happy news comes on their fourth wedding anniversary, making it the perfect present for the parents.
The photo was captioned, “Happy Anniversary to the love of my life @therealswizzz!! And to make it even sweeter we've been blessed with another angel on the way!! You make me happier than I have ever known! Here's to many many more years of the best parts of life!”
Alicia and Swizz Beats came together in not what you would call the best circumstances. At that moment, Swizz was still married to Mashonda, and although reports on the breakup vary, it's still whispered in closed circles today that Alicia put an end to that marriage.
Not that Swiss was never to blame. Take into consideration the fact that he used to have many affairs outside his marriage and it was known that he had at least four illegitimate children with four separate women.
But ever since he's been together with Keys, his act seems to have straightened out and now he's a family man through and through.
Speaking about the way they fell in love, Alicia Keys confessed in an earlier interview that “Honestly, I didn't really like him that much. I thought he was too ostentatious.”
That he might have been, but he was also insistent, because, after being turned down countless times for a collaboration, Swizz finally convinced Keys to work together and then he somehow managed to convince her that he wasn't that bad of a guy.
“I think we've taught each other a lot,” Alicia smiles, adding, “He's taught me to live more fully, and I think I've taught him to live more deeply.” The two have been involved in a passionate love story since they married on the island of Corsica in 2010.
From the looks of the photo, Alicia is quite far along in her pregnancy, meaning that she moves up the list from baby bump watch to birth watch. Fans have already jumped at the occasion to wish the happy couple well and congratulate the new mother who they say looks glowing.
