Both of the breached websites are user login pages

Two official websites of the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Higher Education – one of the System of Agreement and Joint Committees (pc.mohe.gov.sa), and the Follow-up System of Universities and Community Colleges (pe.mohe.gov.sa) – have been hacked by an Algerian hacker.

The hacker, DZ27, defaced the two websites last week and posted their defacement mirrors on Zone-H.org, HackRead reports.

Currently, both sites, which appear to be user login pages for various sections of the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Higher Education portal, have been restored.

According to HackRead, in the past, the same hacker targeted various Internet domains of the Qatar Ministry of Public Prosecution, and over 50 French Christianity-related websites.

DZ27 has never revealed his reasons for hacking websites, so it’s likely that he simply does it to show that the sites are vulnerable and to boost his reputation.
