Alec Baldwin and Kelsey Grammer In "The Simpsons"

Actors Alec Baldwin and Kelsey Grammer agreed to loan their voice to the famous animated serial "The Simpsons".

Baldwin, who appeared on the show in 2002, will play Caleb Thorn, a marine biologist who attempts to steer Marge away from Homer and Grammer will reprise his role as Sideshow Bob.

Basketball player Dennis Rodman, Ricky Gervais, William H Macy, Lily Tomlin, Frances McDormand, boxer Joe Frazier, and Rob Reiner are among others who will make appearances on the show.

The 17th season will open Sept. 11, 8 p.m. ET. The Simpsons was again nominated at The 2005 Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program.
