Impressed by the tragedy in New Orleans, actor Alec Baldwin decided to make a trip to the ghost city from Louisiana, to help with the relief efforts.
Baldwin, 47, who became very close to the city of new Orleans after he has filmed there the TV movie A Streetcar Named Desire in 1995, declared that he cried when he left, after the shooting was over. He decided to help that wonderful town to become what it once was.
He says: "We were there for four and a half months... and we cried when we left. It was the most wonderful place.
So I'm gonna go do this relief work for Habitat for Humanity in November. I spoke to the people from special projects... I'm gonna go to do cleanup relief work."
Baldwin has appeared in movies such as The Cooler, The Hunt for Red October, Beetlejuice, Talk Radio, Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (voice), The Cat in the Hat, Pearl Harbor, Thomas and the Magic Railroad, Along Came Polly, The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie and The Aviator.
