Mercurial actor Alec Baldwin, known for his outrageous bursts as well as some shocking declarations in the past, has been taken into custody on Tuesday, May 13 in New York for disorderly conduct and for riding a bike on the wrong way street.

When police pulled him over and asked him for his identification to give him a summons, the actor started up a storm, refusing to cooperate. TMZ reports that the actor was furious he was pulled over and demanded that police do their job properly.

When he couldn't provide them with identification since he didn't have it on him, the policemen acted by the book and took him at the precinct to verify him. This is standard procedure, but that doesn't mean that Alec Baldwin took this lightly.

Law enforcement officers confirmed that the actor was very belligerent while in custody and this earned him a ticket for disorderly conduct, apart from his traffic violation. The best part is that Baldwin actually tried to use his fame to get out of the ticket.

Once at the station, the actor allegedly asked the desk supervisor “How old are these officers, that they don't know who I am?” In case you didn't know, Baldwin prides himself with being one of the more prominent faces in town, despite the fact that he vowed to leave the city at the beginning of the year, blaming the media and paparazzi.

This was also the reason why he immediately took to Twitter once he got home and actually put out a message with the name and badge number of the officer who arrested him: “Officer Moreno, badge number 23388, arrested me and handcuffed me for going the wrong way on Fifth Ave ... Meanwhile, photographers outside my home ONCE AGAIN terrified my daughter and nearly hit her with a camera. The police did nothing.”

As you can see, his beef is that the police ignore the paparazzi and seem to be focusing their attention on him, and this is reason to publicly berate them, “New York City is a mismanaged carnival of stupidity that is desperate for revenue and anxious to criminalize behavior once thought benign,” Baldwin fumed.

Of course, it's times like these that we remember that Baldwin made headlines last year in November for chasing a photographer down the street and shouting an anti-gay slur at him in the process, something he's been roasted by the media for. Sadly, it wasn't by far his only run-in with paparazzi, but somehow he's managed to avoid going to trial for his outbursts.
