Yesterday, we had the chance to have a look at what appeared to be the first Windows Phone handset from Alcatel, and some more info on the device is now available.

Rumor has it that the phone will be released in China with the Windows Phone 7.8 platform on board, and that it would be marketed in the country under the name of TCL S606 “Horizon.”

TCL is the company that manufactures Alcatel’s handsets, and it makes sense for them to choose this branding for the local market.

The phone is expected to hit shelves with a 4 inch WVGA display, while featuring a single-core 1GHz processor inside, along with 512MB of RAM.

Moreover, it is said to sport a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, along with VGA front camera and 4GB of internal memory. No info on the handset’s release date has emerged.
