Back at CES 2014, Alcatel announced a new and super colorful tablet, the OneTouch POP 8, which impressed with its super thin bezel (4.9 mm / 0.19 inches).

During the Las Vegas event, the producing company didn’t say anything about the pricing specifications or the availability of the tablet. Now the so-called “borderless” display tablet gets a release date and a price tag.

But first, let’s take a quick look at specifications. As LetsGoMobile notes, the POP 8 has an 8-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and draws power from a 1.3GHz Quad-Core Cortez A7 processor combined with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage.

Additionally, we have dual cameras (2MP on the back and 0.3MP in front), microSD card, GPS, 3G and IR blaster.

It also should be noted that the POP 8 is compatible with a variety of vivid accessories, like the Magic Flip (magnetic cover that brings protection and a dash of color) or the Color skins (glossy yellow, pink, turquoise).

The Alcatel POP will become available in Q1 2014 via EMEA for a price of €179 / $242 for the 3G variant and a Wi-Fi only model will be made available too. A 4G LTE model will arrive in Q2 2014.
