14 DAY TRIAL // Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 is a mid- to high-range Android smartphone unveiled back in February at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015. Earlier this month Alcatel confirmed the OneTouch Idol 3 will be available for pre-order beginning April 21 for only $280.
Although the suggested retail price is great for such a well-specced smartphone, Alcatel is running a promotional offer starting today. This means that early buyers will be able to get the OneTouch Idol 3 for just $200 outright.
The deal is available until 11:59PM PST, April 20, so those who want to take advantage of the offer should pre-order the OneTouch Idol 3 via Alcatel US official store.
Beginning April 21, Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 will be available for pre-order for $250, which isn't that bad at all if you've missed the current promotional offer. According to Alcatel, the OneTouch Idol 3 will ship from May, probably 21 or around that date.
Dual front-facing speakers and JBL audio technology
Moving on to specs, Alcatel's newest smartphone will ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system out of the box. It's also worth mentioning that the OneTouch Idol 3 is fully compatible with AT&T and T-Mobile networks.
Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 sports a 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features OGS full lamination.
The smartphone packs a 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and video recording, while in the front there's a secondary no less impressive 8-megapixel camera for video calls and selfies.
On the inside, the OneTouch Idol 3 is equipped with a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. Users will be able to further expand storage up to 128GB via microSD card slot.
Last but not least, the handset comes with dual front-facing speakers featuring JBL audio and it's powered by a 2,910 mAh battery rated for 13 hours of talk time and 600 hours of standby time.
