Mobile phone users in Canada interested in the purchase of a new affordable device on the network of wireless carrier Bell can now opt in for the Alcatel OneTouch Idol 2 S, which has just made a debut at the operator.

The new device is said to arrive on shelves as the replacement for the Idol X, featuring a 5-inch HD display and a 1.2GHz quad-core processor.

Moreover, the smartphone was made official with 1GB of RAM inside, as well as with 8GB of internal memory and a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

On the back, the new device sports an 8-megapixel camera with full HD video recording, paired with a front camera for making video calls while on the go.

Alcatel OneTouch Idol 2 S also arrives on shelves with 4G LTE connectivity, as well as with the usual Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS receiver. Moreover, it is powered by a battery that can deliver up to 16.5 hours of talk time, or up to 520 hours of standby time.
