Customers on the market looking for a tablet should know that UK carrier Three has a pretty appealing offer waiting for them, especially for those hoping to tap into its broadband network.

For a limited period, the company is offering the Alcatel One Touch Tab 7 coupled with a Huawei E5220 MiFi starter kit at a very accessible price.

Three Head of Devices, Sylvia Chind commented on the promotion saying that “the most popular reasons for wanting a tablet are generally to use it as a device that is shared between all the family.”

“This is an affordable tablet you can effortlessly use for games to keep the kids occupied, surfing the web or ordering the weekly online shop, for instance.”

The Alcatel slate isn't the greatest on the market, but it features good enough specs to let you take advantage of the basic tablet functionalities. The slate rocks a 1GHz single-core Rockchip RK2928 processor combined with 1GB of RAM.

It comes boasting a 7-inch TFT screen with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. There is just 4GB of storage on board, but Alcatel offers a microSD card so you can increase. Only one 0.3MP front facing camera is provided.

Don’t expect the slate to have a long life, as the battery is only 3000 mAh, but it should be enough for some social media and video streaming. Uses can also expect to be able to play the latest games like Despicable Me, Minion Rush or Minecraft.

The Huawei E5220 MiFi 1GB starter kit will bring enhancement to the tablet experience allowing customers to browse and take advantage of the connectivity however they want. The slate ships with Android 4.1 onboard.

The Alcatel One Touch Tab now costs £64.99 / $104 / €77, but only if it comes bundled with the Huawei starter-kit which costs £49.99 / $80 / €59. Customers can take advantage of the offering until January 2014, so hurry up.
