HMV Canada music retailer announced on Monday that they'll pull out all Alanis Morissette's albums from their stores, because the singer has given the Starbucks coffee chain exclusive rights to sell her new album in the US and Canada for the first six weeks of release.
"As of June 13, HMV will be removing all Alanis products from our stores, consistent with the views of the majority of our customers, and will be returning all Alanis product to the record company," the U.K.-based retailer's CEO, Humphrey Kadaner, wrote in an email to Canadian news outlets last week.
Alanis Morissette declared that she had no intentions to offend HMV Canada, but she's not giving up the decision to let the coffee chain having exclusive rights to sell her album.
