Alan Wake’s American Nightmare Gets Officially Revealed with First Trailer

The 2011 Video Game Awards event delivered on its promise to showcase the new Alan Wake experience, in the form of American Nightmare, a downloadable adventure that sees the writer go to the town of Night Springs where he must face off against the infamous Mr. Scratch.

Alan Wake, the third person shooter with deep psychological thriller influences, impressed quite a lot of Xbox 360 users, who were anticipating a whole new game, in the form of Alan Wake 2, instead of this downloadable adventure.

Still, Remedy Entertainment, the developer of the series, is adamant that Alan Wake’s American Nightmare will deliver a high quality experience and still delight fans, even if it’s not a full pledged sequel.
