Oskari Hakkinen, the leader of franchise development at Remedy, suggests that his team might be working on a new Alan Wake video game, claiming that the series has potential for the future.

He tells CVG that, “It’s our IP – we own it. It’s not something that we’re going to forget very easily.”

Hakkinen also reveals that Max Payne was sold to developer Rockstar and Take Two for about 45 million dollars (31 million Euro) and that the entire team could have taken a long vacation after the transaction was complete.

He adds, “That put us in a really promising situation, but at the same time our hearts are in making video games and not in sipping cocktails on the beach.”

Alan Wake is a survival horror video games that uses a complex narrative based on a writer and his ability to warp reality around him.
