Remedy Entertainment, the developer of the recent Alan Wake game as well as its upcoming Alan Wake’s American Nightmare downloadable spinoff, has just listed a job opening for a “groundbreaking AAA console project.”

Remedy Entertainment is currently working on two Alan Wake projects, in the form of the PC version of the original Alan Wake, as well as the downloadable Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, a spinoff that will appear on the Xbox Live Arcade.

According to a new job listing spotted by GamerZines, however, it seems that the Finnish developer is also working a new console project. For this new title, the studio is looking to hire gameplay and AI programmers that will help create the next version of its in-house engine.

"We want your help in taking our artificial intelligence, character & enemy behavior to the next level," the listing says. "You will be working on the next iteration of Remedy's in-house engine that was previously used in Alan Wake and Alan Wake's American Nightmare."

It’s unclear what this new project will be, but a safe bet would be Alan Wake 2, a full-fledged sequel to the original game and American Nightmare.
