Two videos showing the Abu Sayyaf group

The popular YouTube is now showing more than we ever expected as the videos with the Abu Sayyaf group were posted on its official page. If you didn't know, Abu Sayyaf is a Al-Qaeda related group of extremists that launched several extremely damaging attacks in the Philippines. But what's more dangerous is that the two videos are encouraging the interested users to join the terrorist group but they are also requiring money and funds. According to The Age, the military officials said the four-minutes clips were actually a one-hour movie showing the terrorists' training camps and other techniques used by them in order to get prepared for the future.

"Their resource-generating activities have been prevented by our combined efforts. That's why they're targeting the international community for their support, for their logistics", military spokesman Lieutentant Colonel Bartolome Bacarro said for The Guardian. "This just shows the Abu Sayyaf is in disarray. Why is it that the former leadership of the Abu Sayyaf are speaking, why not the current leadership who are asking support? Why the dead?" he added for The Age.

As you can see, YouTube became more than a simple video sharing service used with the purpose of sharing videos with other Internet users. Besides this, the terrorists are now using Google's video service to raise money and, the dangerous part: to find new recruits for their groups.

In the past, YouTube even managed to save a woman's life after she desperately posted a clip on the official page of the video platform. She requested the YouTubers help as she was diagnosed with leukemia and a bone marrow transplant was urgently needed. She managed to find a matching donor in Denmark after the video recorded an impressive number of views and comments posted by other Internet users.
