14 DAY TRIAL // Once a ladies’ man, always a ladies’ man, no matter the age. Veteran actor Al Pacino is now in Venice for the Film Festival, where he has 2 new movies opening, and according to reports online, he’s been making the ladies swoon at his feet even though he’s in a committed relationship and is past the age when he’s looking for one-night stands. We’re just guessing, though.
Pacino has “Manglehorn” from director David Gordon Green and “The Humbling,” based on a Philip Roth novel and directed by Barry Levinson, opening at the famous film festival and he showed up in person to drum up publicity for these two projects.
On his arm, as the photo attached to this article can confirm, was Argentinian actress Lucila Sola, whom Pacino has been dating for roughly 5 years, but that didn’t stop his legions of fans from screaming at the top of their lungs in the hope of getting an autograph and maybe a photo too.
Page Six reports that the ladies were literally throwing themselves at Pacino even when he wasn’t on the red carpet, which must speak volumes for the kind of appeal he still has with his fans.
“Pacino was attracting a lot of attention from the ladies,” an inside source says of what happened when the actor stepped out to lounge by the pool at the Hotel Cipriani. “[He was wearing] a white T-shirt, black vest and tinted blue shades,” the insider adds. Clearly, the ladies were looking at the man under those clothes, not really interested in his fashion.
As these photos over at the Daily Mail can confirm, Pacino attracted the same kind of attention at the airport, when he was literally surrounded by fans begging him for a second’s worth of attention from his life.
Sola was with him at the airport too, and in some photos, you can clearly see her stepping back to allow Al more time with his fans, as he’s signing autographs and shaking hands. She obviously knows that, if she interfered, she would ruin a very special moment for a woman or a man who might never get a chance like this again.
If you’re wondering, the age gap between Pacino and Sola is more than impressive: he’s 74 and she’s only 34. They’ve been together for 5 years but she should probably not hope for this to end with a trip down the aisle because Pacino is a convinced bachelor, never having been married in his life.
Then again, people are known to change in time.
