One of the most well known Real Madrid players in the whole world, Brazilian Roberto Carlos, is being monitorized by a Middle East football team.

The Al Jazira football club is very keen on signing the Brazilian defender of Real Madrid.
Although the name of the club isn't exactly a thing to remember for the European democracy, Al Jazira is a very serious club, one of the greatest in United Arab Emirates.

It seems that the main objective for the EAU team is to bring well-known players at the team. More as a marketing reason than from the football value point of view, players like Roberto Carlos would bring the image of football on the next level, creating a great area for international investments.

Roberto Carlos has proved to be undecided though, concerning his future as a football player. Although he will most certainly leave the Real Madrid club - being one of the most hated players on the team, along with fellow Brazilian, striker Ronaldo - he has had a lot of offers from European clubs.

If it were for the mentality of most of the eastern - not only those - players, playing the last football years in a country that will provide you with money and adulation sure seems like a go-ahead. The ridiculous salaries for top players exceed the common sense limit, since the players are paid more for their image, than for how they play on that field.

For the moment though, nothing is certain. What matters the most is that Roberto Carlos has the opportunity to play in a country that think great of him. According to the Al Jazira officials, Carlos has a great image among the fans. At least that's how they`re trying to convince him to sign the contract. A pretty strange encounter could be Carlos - Ronaldo on the Middle East football fields, since Quatar officials are taking a major interest in Ronaldo. Along with Carlos, the Brazilian striker in a semi-God along the football fans in the Middle East.
