The former Vice President says Obama's speech was “historic”

On June 25, US President Barack Obama delivered a speech at Georgetown University. As reported, the speech focused on climate change, global warming, and the need to combat these changes in global weather patterns.

Shortly after the US President delivered his speech, Al Gore said that, in his books, Obama definitely got a golden star for the observations and promises he made.

OK, maybe his phrasing was a bit different, but that was what he meant to say.

According to HuffPost, the former Vice President's exact words on the matter at hand were as follows:

“This was a terrific and historic speech, by far the best address on climate by any president ever.”

“President Obama's proposals are in keeping with the current political reality; inaction and denial have consumed Congress. But the climate crisis requires a new political reality: one marked by a willingness to accept solutions commensurate with the challenge,” he added.

Here's hoping President Obama will own up to his promises and not take long to implement the green-oriented measures he talked about in his speech.
