It doubles as a heatsink, cooling the hardware inside without fans

NUC stands for Next Unit of Computing and is Intel's ever so heavily promoted mini personal computer. Said PC can now dress in a new case, thanks to Akasa.

The company has formally launched the Akasa Tesla case, which doubles as a heatsink, meaning that it cools the mini-ITX motherboard and assorted hardware all on its own. Not even the smallest fan is needed.

That means that there won't be any noise coming from inside it, unless you fill those two 2.5-inch drive bays with HDDs instead of SSDs (9 mm-thick each).

Also, the anodized aluminum chassis happens to possess a slightly wider form factor than the normal NUC case.

Sadly, Akasa did not say what the price would be, or what the rest of the spec sheet was like. All we know is that availability will ramp up soon.
