Indian wireless carrier Aircel is reportedly planning the release of self-branded devices in India as soon as next month, after Idea Cellular and MTS made similar moves not long ago.

A recent report from The Mobile Indian claims that the wireless operator is planning the launch of an Android smartphone that will be bundled with exclusive data offers.

“In November we will be launching Aircel branded smartphones in India. The smartphones will be based on Android operating system and will come in different price Brackets,” Sunil Kuttam, vice president, data and devices, Aircel, reportedly said.

No specific info on that the smartphone would look like and on what it will have to offer in terms of hardware specifications has been provided as of now.

However, provided that the rumor pans out, the wireless carrier should offer specific details on the upcoming device in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
