Airbnb App Comes to Android Devices

Airbnb has just announced that it has updated its mobile site with new features. In addition, the company released an Android application that allows users to book unique accommodations around the world.

Simply dubbed Airbnb, the application provides access to a huge database of unique accommodations in more than 19,000 cities on 192 countries. There are over 100,000 listings for rent available in the database, Aribnb claims.

Aside from the option to book accommodations directly from an Android phone, the application allows users to view the itinerary and host details, as well as get directions to their destination.

As a side note, Aribnb has already launched an iOS application, which is very popular and accounting for 10% of its traffic.

Airbnb is now available as a free download in the Android Market and is fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.1 and up.
