Intel-based Mac users to improve the reliability of their AirPort connections

Apple has released the AirPort Extreme 2008-002 update for users of its powerful base station known as AirPort Extreme. The update improves the reliability of AirPort connections and (as if we even have to mention this), it is recommended to all AirPort Extreme users (under Tiger).

Using one AirPort Extreme, up to 50 people can share the same Internet connection, exchange files with the file-sharing capabilities built in Mac OS X or Windows, access file servers (local or remote), and play games online - pretty much everything you'd expect from a high-end Apple product. And let's not forget about AirPort Extreme's wireless storage and printing capabilities.

Most recently, new Macs support the next-generation 802.11n technology in the AirPort Extreme Base Station. However, AirPort Extreme is not only compatible with Macs. As a PC user, or iPhone / iPod touch owner, you also have devices boasting 802.11a, b, or g technologies. AirPort Extreme is Wi-Fi Certified for 802.11n draft 2.0. This means other certified 802.11n draft 2.0 products are compatible. In other words, AirPort Extreme works seamlessly and wirelessly with all your Wi-Fi devices.
