14 DAY TRIAL // The Steel Cavalry expansion for NCsoft's massively multiplayer online role-playing game Aion will be available for free, starting January 29.
The upcoming expansion will introduce a new class, the Aethertech, as well as two new in-game instances. Steel Cavalry will also feature some new high level skills and many general balance and performance tweaks, the full list being available on the Aion Steel Cavalry website.
The Aethertechs will wield key-shaped Cipher Blades and will be able to summon magical contraptions known as Bastions, devastating war machines that use Hyperion's Aether as an energy source.
The two new dungeons introduced in the Aion 4.5 update are The Illuminary Obelisk, where players have to restore the shielding device protecting Katalam from an outside attack, and The Iron Wall Warfront, a unique opportunity to recapture the Eternal Bastion.
Steel Cavalry will be the fourth Aion expansion, and will follow last year's Dark Betrayal add-on, which included new areas for players to explore.
