Shenzhen Yijingling K35 is just a piece of crap...still, it also does some interesting stuff

There's nothing new under the sun. We all know that Chinese manufacturers are the best copyists in the electronic industry. They have a clone for just about any new version of media player that's hot on the market. And this is no exception: Shenzhen Yijingling K35 takes after the popular Sony PSP. It reveals almost an identical design line, the same control scheme and the same screen size.

Regarding the portable media player's capabilities, it can deal with a lot of file formats on the market, such as MP3, WMA, WAV, with options for DRM9 and DRM10 equipped versions. There is no word on any video or photo support on it, which is not really great. Additional features specs mention something about an FM radio tuner.

If the user needs it, the media player can double itself as an e-Book txt file formats reader. There is also the possibility of using it at a digital photo album. As for its looks, the K35 media player reveals a nice 4-inch TFT screen display with up to 260.000 colors.

Voice recording is also possible, via the built-in microphone. The device can handle line-in recording and AV-out for both NTSC/PAL TVs. Sadly, the manufacturers packed a not very cool internal memory of 1GB maximum storage of flash memory. However, its memory can be easily boosted using the integrated SD/MMC card slots up to an extra 1GB.

The weirdest thing of all is that even if it looks like Sony's PSP device, this media device cannot perform any gaming capabilities.

All in all, I cannot stand copycat cats, especially the ones that don't even respect the original capabilities. In fact, K35 would make a great toy for the ones that haven't heard of PSPs. And if you're interested in this media player's pricing and availability details, I cannot help you on that. Or maybe I just don't want to!
