InfoSonics, one of the largest distributors of wireless handsets and accessories in the United States and Latin America has announced the renewal of the distribution agreement with Samsung Electronics Argentina S.A through December 31, 2007. Under the renewed distribution agreement, InfoSonics will continue providing distribution solutions in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay to carriers, retailers and agents, for a large variety of Samsung products. According to InfoSonics, their company facilitates the delivery of wireless handsets to the final consumer in the United States and throughout Latin America, provides flexible and provides cost effective distribution solutions for the wireless telecommunications industry. The company is also currently providing consumers with select Samsung mobile phones and accessories through an on-line storefront and has been distributing Samsung cellular phones in Argentina since 2005. "We are pleased to continue working with Samsung in this South American region," said Joseph Ram, President and Chief Executive Officer of InfoSonics. "The cooperation between Samsung and InfoSonics has proven to be a mutually beneficial partnership which has yielded an increase in handsets sold in the region, strong brand awareness and enhanced product positioning. We are working diligently with Samsung to offer a comprehensive line up of products for 2007." "We look forward to our continued relationship with InfoSonics, as we have shared success over the past couple of years, and believe the future holds more opportunity for us together," stated Obdulio Baez, Vice President of Samsung Electronics Argentina S.A. Apart from Samsung, InfoSonics will also be distributing handsets for LG electronics in the Caribbean and select countries in Latin America starting this year.
