Agnitum Gets 10th Consecutive VB100 Award

Agnitum announced that their flagship product, Outpost Security Suite Pro, has received its tenth VB100 certification from Virus Bulletin.

The testing took place back in December on Windows 7 Professional 32-bit machines, and included 55 security suites and antivirus products, from a total number of 45 vendors.

One of the major requirements for the certification was lack of false positives when put against the regular WildList, extended WildList and clean set.

Apart from recording no false positives in the clean set test, Outpost Security Suite Pro also showed improved subsequent scan performance, which is to be attributed to the fourth-generation SmartScan technology included in the package.

Independent testing company, AV-Comparatives also concluded their report for 2011. In their case Kaspersky managed to stand out and snatch the “Product of the Year” title.
