Rockstar is one of the biggest companies involved in video game development and publishing. Its Grand Theft Auto franchise made it famous but that doesn't mean that its many development studios won't release any other titles.

One of the more recent projects underway at the studio responsible for Grand Theft Auto development, Rockstar North, is Agent, which will be “the ultimate action game,” according to Rockstar founder Sam Houser. We haven't received a lot of details about it, except for the fact that it is set in the 1970’s and is filled with espionage and action gameplay.

Recently, the CEO of Take Two, the parent company of Rockstar, Ben Feder, revealed a few more details about the upcoming PlayStation 3-exclusive title. Saying that it will feature “very, very different storylines, very different character development” than the typical Grand Theft Auto titles, he got everyone quite excited.

“It's a game about espionage, set in the 1970s. GTA is obviously more about an urban experience, a typically rags to riches experience,” Feder said. “It's going to be very fresh for gamers.” Feder emphasized that it would still attract GTA fans. “I think gamers will be blown away by it.”

According to the old press release when the game was announced at the E3 conference this year, Agent will see its action placed at the peak of the Cold War and tell an exciting story about counter-intelligence, espionage and political assassinations. Regarding the fact that it is a PlayStation 3 exclusive, Feder stated that “We don't disclose anything beyond what we've already said.”
