Halfbrick, the Australian game developer creator of Fruit Ninja and Monster Dash, recently announced that it will release another Barry Steakfries adventure for iPhone and iPad platforms, called Age of Zombies. The well-known character is now battling zombie monsters, in a pro-shooting arcade game.

Age of Zombies features five worlds with multiple levels, which can be played as in full story mode, while the Survival mode offers player the possibility to post their high scores on global leaderboards.

The game is an adaptation of the original Playstation Minis version, which has been improved with updated graphics, new menus and the intuitive touch-specific controls and tutorials.

The story of the game starts upon arriving at the laboratory of the evil Professor Brains, where you discover a devious plot to destroy mankind by sending zombies throughout time to wreak havoc.

Players will have to step through the portal to save the world and make it home in time for a hearty dinner.

Some of the key features of the game include: a wide range of monsters such as, ninjas, mummies, cavemen and all manner of historical undead zombies; five time periods to eliminate the zombie invasion; massive bosses and a huge variety of weapons and explosives; bonus Survival mode to take your zombie-blasting skills to the next level.

Lock and load through the history of time, in the role of the main hero of the game, Barry Steakfries, who is looking for nothing more than to shoot some zombies … lots of zombies.

Armed with a wide range of weapons available in the game, as well witty remarks, shoot as many zombies as you and save the world.

The game will be compatible with iPhone and iPad device. Age of Zombies will be released in October 2010 and will be available for download through the AppStore.
