Developer Triumph Studios announces that its coming Age of Wonders 3 title has been delayed to 2014, after initially announcing that the game would be out before the end of this year.

Jimmy van der Have, a community manager working for the studio, tells fans via the official forums that, “Age of Wonders 3 is the largest game in the series and with the additional polish we hope we can give you an even better experience.”

Triumph Studios says that all the features of the title, which mixes turn-based strategy and role-playing game elements, will be improved because of the delay.

Much of the funding for Age of Wonders 3 comes from the creator of Minecraft, Markus Persson aka Notch.

The new game is designed to include the best ideas from Shadow Magic, updated for a modern audience.
