Age of Empires: The Age of Kings is a turn-based strategy game for the Nintendo DS. It was produced by Majesco and released
on February 14, 2006. The game allows the player to take command of one of five different historical civilizations: the Britons, the Franks, the Mongols, the Saracens and the Japanese. The game has a single-player campaign and a scenario mode; it also has multiplayer wireless and hotseat modes.
The gameplay is turn-based and similar to Advance Wars in movement and combat, but as a derivative of a real-time strategy (RTS) series, it incorporates several features more commonly associated with RTS games (particularly technology trees and resource/building management). The playing field is divided into a grid. Units can only move and attack in the four cardinal directions. Ranged units are exceptions, as they can attack diagonally if the target is in range.
HINTS
Richard The Lionhearted mission 5: Easy completion
When you get your men there, do not attack. You will die quickly. Take your men to the right, or to the opposite corner from where Saladin's town center is located. Wait there for your reinforcements and slowly move towards Saladin. Once you have all your reinforcements, attack. Attack with your archers first, as to weaken Saladin so he cannot wreak havoc among your men. Once you have killed him, attack the town center. Remember, always attack with the longbowmen first, then with your other men. They will soon fall to your assault. You will not get any star if you follow this exactly, but you can always go back and do it again.
Sending villagers to escape
If you have some villagers and they need to escape, send them to a building in the direction you want them to go. Choose "Demolish" but then select "No". You will be on that building but still unused. If you have buildings in a sort of line, they can get far away in one turn.
Easy Empire Points
Go to multi-player mode, then "Hot Seat". Start a game, then just throw both teams at each other and see who wins. You should get 100 Empire Points.
