Huawei has encountered numerous difficulties in the US, especially after the US House of Representatives' Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence published a report in which it urged organizations to stop doing business with the Chinese company.

Ever since, Huawei has been trying to clear its reputation. It has invited governments to investigate their facilities and even offered access to source code and equipment.

Now, they’ve decided to stop focusing on the US market and turn their attention to other countries.

“Apparently, due to whatever the geopolitical reasons, we are not focusing on the U.S. market,” said Li Sanqi, Huawei CTO, cited by IDG.

Li says that that the US market, which accounts for 30% of the company’s business, is still of interest, but as they’re recording significant growth in other parts of the world, they’ve decided to focus their efforts on other countries.
