A few days ago, Tunisian hackers of the Fallaga Team breached and defaced the official website of the African Petroleum Producers' Association (APPA.int), an intergovernmental organization representing the interests of countries producing petroleum.

APPA was founded in Nigeria, but it currently has 18 member countries, including Algeria, Angola, Congo, Egypt, Gabon, South Africa, Sudan, Mauritania, and Libya.

According to HackRead, the message posted by the hackers on the defaced page, placed at appa.int/islam.php, is an Islamic prayer.

The website has been restored by its administrators. It’s uncertain if the hackers have gained access to any sensitive information stored on the organization’s servers.

A mirror of the defaced site is available on zone-h.org.

Over the past weeks, the same hackers have targeted numerous websites from countries such as Iran, South Africa, Venezuela, Italy, the United Kingdom, Indonesia and Canada.
