Samsung officially introduced the Galaxy Pocket Neo back in April, but the smartphone is only available for purchase in several countries.

Indian customers have been lucky enough to be able to grab the dual-SIM version of Galaxy Pocket Neo, but other important markets have yet to receive the affordable smartphone.

AusDroid reports Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo is now available for purchase in Australia through major authorized resellers, including Big W, Dick Smith and JB HiFi.

Android enthusiasts can now purchase the Galaxy Pocket Neo for as low as $125 AUD ($117 USD / €87 EUR) outright via any of the three retailers listed earlier.

Considering the phone's low-end specs, it's no surprise Samsung decided to price it so cheap. The smartphone ships with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box and packs a low-power 850 MHz single-core processor.

The good news is Galaxy Pocket Neo comes with support for both HSDPA (7.2Mbps) and HSUPA (5.76Mbps), so users will be able to take advantage of decent mobile data speeds while browsing the Internet.

On the inside, the budget-friendly smartphone packs only 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory, but users will be able to further expand storage up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

There's also a 2-megapixel rear-facing camera with video recording capabilities, but no other extra features. As expected, the device lacks a secondary front-facing camera for video calls.

Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo sports a small 3-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 240 x 320 pixels resolution and 133 ppi (pixel density). Other highlights of the phone include Stereo FM Radio, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as built-in GPS.

Last but not least, the handset is powered by a decent 1200 mAh Li-Ion battery, which should provide up to 300 hours of standby time or up to 6 hours of talk time.
