The phone might be announced within the next few weeks

Nokia dropped Symbian and is now launching fewer budget-friendly feature-phones. The Finnish company bets everything on Windows Phone platform, which is why we won’t see too many entry-level handsets launched this year.

Aside from the Asha series, which was unveiled last year in October, Nokia only released a single new feature-phone model, the X2-02. However, it appears that a new Nokia phone has just been spotted in the wild, Nokia 302.

At first glance this is Nokia C3’s successors, but the Finnish handset manufacturer has yet to officially announce the handset. For the time being, there’s no telling when exactly Nokia 302 will be introduced on the market.

Information on the phone’s specs sheet is a bit scarce at the moment, but the folks over at UnwiredView were able to find a few pictures that may reveal some of Nokia 302’s capabilities.

It appears that the phone follows the same design line as its Nokia C3 predecessor, but is more on the serious side. This phone would probably be a good choice as a second phone for business people who are still feeling attached to Nokia’s branding.

The phone comes with the same full QWERTY keyboard and features standard display, possibly around 2.4-inch in size (320 x 240 pixels resolution).

On the back, the feature-phone sports a 3.2-megapixel camera, which is a small improvement in comparison with Nokia C3’s 2-megapixel rear camera.

That’s about everything we have until now, but judging by the fact that this could be Nokia C3’s successor, we can speculate that Nokia 302 will features Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, video recording capabilities, GPS and EDGE class 32, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion.

Software-wise, this will probably be based on Nokia’s latest S40 UI. In addition, it will probably come with deep social networking integration, browser and music player.
