14 DAY TRIAL // Unveiled back in June, Motorola SPICE Key has just been introduced in Peru, as Motorola SPICE Key XT316.
The Android-powered smartphone is now available for purchase through Peru's major carriers. The handset maker did not disclose any details on the phone's price tag due to the fact that the SPICE Key XT316 will be differently subsidized by the carriers.
Motorola SPICE Key XT316 is a budget-friendly Android smartphone, which offers enhanced messaging capabilities.
In this regard, the phone comes with a portrait QWERTY keyboard, which allows users to type faster and more comfortable.
In addition, a QVGA 2.8-inch capacitive touchscreen with 262k colors support and 240 x 320 pixels resolution, is available as well.
Software-wise, the SPICE Key XT316 is powered by Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and provides access to more than 250,000 apps via Android Market.
“With a fun, beautiful design and a great package of social media options, Motorola SPICE Key gives young, busy users the smartphone experience they crave at a price they can afford,” said Alexander Zawadzki, Motorola Mobility´s country manager for Peru.
With access to Google Mobile services, such as Google Maps with Navigation, Google Talk, YouTube and Google Search, as well as quick access to POP3 and IMAP corporate email, Motorola SPICE Key XT316 is an all-rounder.
“The combination of the physical QWERTY keyboard, the touchscreen display and access to the entertaining apps and games available from Android Market, set Motorola SPICE Key XT316 apart from other smartphone devices,” concluded Zawadzki.
Furthermore, the smartphone comes pre-loaded with Moto Switch user interface that allows users to switch between personal and work modes.
The device is equipped with a 600 Mhz processor and packs 256 MB of RAM, 512 MB of ROM, and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB). There's also a 3-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, FM Radio RDS and built-in GPS with A-GPS support.
