Unveiled a month ago during the International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Motorola MOTOLUXE has just been officially confirmed in the UK for late February.

Motorola MOTOLUXE and DEFY MINI are already available for pre-order in the UK through leading retailers and authorized sellers across the country.

Android fans can reserve their Motorola MOTOLUXE devices for only £258 (395 USD or 310 EUR) outright, while the DEFY MINI is a lot cheaper at only £175 (270 USD or 210 EUR).

Along with Motorola DEFY MINI, the MOTOLUXE is the latest budget-friendly Android smartphone announced by the US-based handset manufacturer.

Although both smartphones will be available worldwide, UK will be the second location where they will go on sale, after China.

Motorola MOTOLUXE offers an all-touch experience courtesy to the generous 4.0-inch capacitive touchscreen, which supports 480 x 854 pixels resolution and 16 million colors.

This is quite a large screen for a mid-range Android smartphone. In addition, the phone packs an 800 MHz processor, 1GB of ROM, 512MB of RAM, as well as microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

To make the phone even more attractive to Android fans, Motorola also packed an impressive 8-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and video recording. There’s also a secondary VGA front-facing camera for video calls.

Software-wise, Motorola MOTOLUXE is powered by Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread platform, as well as the MotoSwitch user interface.

The phone comes pre-loaded with the Social Graph feature that provides quick access to the most frequently used contacts. With the Activity Graph, users will learn which apps they use more and can add them to home panels for quick access.

By combining sleek style with Android brains, MOTOLUXE is ideal for people who want the latest technology in a sophisticated package. Not only does this smartphone have a big screen and the latest, greatest entertainment tools, it’s affordable and won’t take a bite out of your budget,” said Marcus Frost, senior marketing director, Europe, Motorola Mobility.
