The dual-SIM Karbonn A15 is no high-end smartphone, but it offers solid features for its price. The handset has just been listed at Indian retailer Infibeam for 26% less than the market price.

Android enthusiasts, as well as customers who are looking to purchase their first Android smartphone may want to give the A15 a try.

Infibeam is now offering the Karbonn A15 for only Rs 5,899 outright, which is about $110 or €85. Check it out here.

The budget-friendly Karbonn A15 ships with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system out of the box.

There are slim chances that this device will receive a Jelly Bean update in the future, so think of it as an ICS-based device only.

The main selling point of the A15, besides price, is dual-SIM capability. Other than that, the device does not stand out from other affordable Android phones available in India.

It comes with a standard 1 GHz singl-core processor and a decent 4-inch LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 800 x 480 pixels resolution.

Unfortunately, there’s no word on the amount of memory, but it’s likely to feature 512MB of RAM and less than 4GB of internal memory. It’s been confirmed that Karbonn A15 comes with microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

On the back, the smartphone packs a 3-megapixel camera with LED flash, digital zoom and video recording. The A15 lacks a secondary camera for video calls.

Other highlights of the phone include HSDPA (7.2Mbps) and HSUPA, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as GPS with A-GPS support.

The phone’s is powered by a decent 1420 mAh Lithium-Ion battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer.

Karbonn A15 provides access to more than 650,000 apps and games via Google Play store, but also comes pre-loaded with a few, including Angry Birds, Facebook and Twitter.
