Huawei’s new Ascend Y511 and Y320 budget-friendly smartphones will definitely be popular among Android fans in India. Price-wise, both devices are ready to face competition from Indian OEMs, but they also offer decent features for mid-range users.

AndroidOS reports that Huawei has recently introduced the Ascend Y511 in India, where customers can purchase it for only Rs 7,499 ($120 / €90) outright. The Ascend Y320 is even cheaper, as customers can grab it for just Rs 6,499 ($105 / €78) off contract.

There are little differences between the two smartphones, like different display and battery sizes, as well as distinct cameras. Apart from them, the Ascend Y511 and Y320 are pretty much the same.

They both offer dual-SIM with dual standby support and ship with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system out of the box.

In addition, they come equipped with dual-core processors clocked at 1.3GHz, which is most certainly provided by MediaTek. The bad news is that the smartphones only pack 512MB of RAM, but that’s quite understandable given their low price.

Furthermore, Ascend Y511 and Y320 feature only 4GB of internal memory, but the real storage is much lower, probably around 2GB. Luckily, users will be able to expand internal memory up to 32GB via microSD memory card.

Huawei Ascend Y5100 sports a 4.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 854 pixels resolution, whereas the Ascend Y320 comes with a slightly smaller 4.0-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

It is also worth mentioning that the former packs a 3-megapixel rear-facing camera and VGA secondary camera, while the latter has a much lower 2-megapixel main camera and no front-facing photo snapper.

Last but not least, Huawei Ascend Y511 is powered by a 1730 mAh battery, while the Ascend Y320 drains energy for a much smaller 1350 mAh battery.
