Indian handset maker Lava Mobiles has just released a new dual-SIM Android phone, the Iris N400.

Unfortunately, the Indian market is flooded with dual-SIM handsets and the latest devices released are prone to go unnoticed if they don’t come out with anything new.

Sadly, aside from dual-SIM capability, the Lava Iris N400 does not stand out. AndroidOS reports that Indian retailer Flipkart is now offering the smartphone for only Rs 6,399 outright, which is about $115 or €90. Check it out here.

However, keep in mind that Flipkart ships the Lava Iris N400 in 6-8 business days. The retailer also allows customers to pay on delivery and offers free shipping in India.

Lava Iris N400 is powered by Android 4.0.1 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and is likely to be stuck on this version forever. The Indian handset maker has yet to announce any plans of delivering a Jelly Bean update for this smartphone.

Furthermore, the smartphone comes with a single-core processor clocked at 1 GHz, 512MB of ROM, 512MB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB). Keep in mind that Lava Iris N400 only packs 127MB of storage by default.

The Iris N400 sports a decent 4.0-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 800 pixels resolution and 16 million colors.

On the back, the smartphone packs a 5-megapixel photo snapper with LED flash and 4x digital zoom, while on the front there’s a secondary VGA camera for video calls.

It is also worth mentioning that Lava Iris N400 is powered by a 1500 mAh Li-Ion battery, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer.

When it comes to connectivity, the affordable Lava Iris N400 is an all-rounder. The smartphone comes with 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB and GPS with A-GPS support.
