BlackBerry Z3, the most affordable 10 OS smartphone launched by the Canadian company, made its debut in Indonesia back in May. Since then, the smartphone has been released in a few more Asian countries and today it reached Egypt.

For the time being, the BlackBerry Z3 hasn’t been introduced in well-developed markets and the smartphone is less likely to make it in one of the countries from where BlackBerry OS seems to have disappeared completely.

Anyway, BlackBerry fans in Egypt, as well as those who wish to switch to BlackBerry OS, but don’t want to break their back in order to do that, will be pleased to know the Z3 is now available for purchase through multiple retailers across the country.

According to CrackBerry, BlackBerry Z3 can now be purchased for only EGP 1,849 outright, which is about $260 or €195. The smartphone is now offered at Mobile Shop, Raya, Appliance and Etisalat Retail, so customers can choose which retailer is closer to them.

BlackBerry Z3 was launched in Indonesia for around $190 (€140) and more recently in Malaysia for $215 (€160), so it looks like Egyptians will have to pay a lot more in order to get the smartphone.

Even so, the Z3 is still the cheapest BlackBerry 10 OS smartphone available on the market, so you might as well pay the amount required if you are dying to get onboard of the BlackBerry boat for the first time (or once again).

For those unware of what BlackBerry Z3 has to offer, here is a quick rundown of the smartphone’s features. First of all, the Z3 ships with BlackBerry 10.2.1 operating system out of the box, and is likely to receive new updates in the next couple of weeks.

Hardware-wise, BlackBerry Z3 is armed with a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, an Adreno 305 graphics processing unit and 1.5GB of RAM.

Although the smartphone packs only 8GB of storage, users can further expand internal memory (up to 32GB) via microSD card slot.

Furthermore, BlackBerry Z3 sports a large 5-inch qHD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 540 x 960 pixels resolution. On the back, the phone packs a 5-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, while in the front there’s a secondary 1.1-megapixel camera for video calls.

Other highlights of the Z3 include multiple connectivity options (3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS wit A-GPS support), as well as a non-removable 2500 mAh battery.
