Alcatel has been long said to plan the release of a Windows Phone-based device, and it seems that the company is gearing up for the launch of this device in the near future.

Dubbed Alcatel One Touch, it should be the cheapest WP7 handset out there when launched in Russia on December 15, with specs that include a 4-inch WVGA touchscreen, and a 1 GHz processor.

Furthermore, the smartphone is said to arrive on shelves with 512MB of RAM, a 5-megapixel camera, and 4GB of internal memory (paired with a micrSD memory card slot capable of accommodating 32GB cards).

Alcatel One Touch is also said to be the first Windows Phone to lack a hardware camera button. According to Hi-tech.mail.ru, the device will retail at 6,990 rubles ($226), thus proving cheaper than Nokia’s Lumia 610 handset.
