14 DAY TRIAL // Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony have decided to end their 7-year marriage, making the announcement over the weekend. A new report suggests a fling with actor William Levy may have prompted JLo to seek separation from her husband.
In the joint statement, Jennifer and Marc make no mention of the reason of the split, saying only that most matters between them have been settled amicably.
Since the shock announcement, there has been lots of speculation about the probable cause for the split, with several insiders pointing to Marc’s over-controlling nature as the reason for it.
Now, Hollywood Life says there might be more to this story: namely an affair with the Latino Brad Pitt, telenovela star and overall hunk Levy, who starred in Lopez’s video “I’m Into You.”
“Jennifer Lopez‘s split from Marc Anthony came as a shock to many, and rumor had it she might be seeking solace with be former costar William Levy,” the e-zine writes.
“William, 30, could not help but gush about working with Jennifer and left his wife of eight years, actress Elizabeth Gutiérrez, in May,” HL adds.
Just a little while later, Jennifer too asked for a divorce, leaving Marc right before she went to meet the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at a BAFTA event in Los Angeles.
There must be a connection here, word in the blogosphere has it.
As far as he’s concerned, Levy insists his relationship with the diva was purely professional and nothing more.
“My thoughts are with Jennifer and Marc during this very hard time. My relationship with Jennifer has been strictly professional. These alleged rumors suggesting something more personal are 100% false and inaccurate. My best wishes go out to them and their family,” he says in a statement to the same media outlet.
His thoughts are also on his impending trial, as he’s just been accused of aggravated battery and assault of a minor, stemming from an incident which reportedly took place precisely one year ago, Radar Online reports.
