90% of the world's population perishes, meteor storms, earthquakes and all sorts of natural calamities constantly ravage the world while clouds of smoke and "evergray" ash turn the day into an eternal night. What could intelligent, rational human beings do in Advance Wars: Dark Conflict's opinion? Divide in factions and start a war. Stupid, plain stupid. I’m glad it's just a game.
You probably know what Advance Wars is practically about, since the first game in the series made its debut in 1988 in Japan and it hit the rest of the world during 2001. All the games in the series are turn based strategies suitable for all ages, with this particular one being playable on the Nintendo DS consoles.
The player takes on the role of a Commanding Officer of an army and there is only one goal, the rule of war: win or die. Generally, you are able to win a game by either destroying all the enemy forces on the map or by taking over their headquarters, but there might be other rules for victory, too. For the fans of the series, the best implementation will be, however, the inclusion of Wi-Fi play, which comes with a load of new options.
