The analytical blokes at Research and Markets have announced “Apple's New Display Panel Strategy for iPhone 5, iPod Nano, iPod Touch,” a new whitepaper that they’re selling to Apple watchers to help them with their investments in the company.

The company acknowledges that Apple has always been at the forefront of smartphone display panel developments, by successfully creating differentiated value for its iPhones and managing to change the ecosystem of the global TFT-LCD industry.

Research and Markets recalls the iPhone 5 and iPod touch 5 launch in September, noting that “the display panel specs remained the major selling point … as usual.”

The company’s report examines “several key specs of the display panels used by Apple's new iPhone, iPod touch and iPod nano and analyzes the company's competition strategy.”

Some of the topics include a background introduction of Apple's latest iDevices “touching on panel display specifications and Apple's competitive strategy,” as well as an analysis of in-cell displays. Other companies mentioned in the report (which sells for $500 / €380) include LG Display and Samsung.
