14 DAY TRIAL // Being an Angel for Victoria's Secret might be every model's dream come true, but it's definitely no walk in the park. In a new interview, mom of one Adriana Lima has revealed her secrets for a killer, bikini-ready body.
Each year, the Angels take over the catwalk as they present the new Victoria's Secret collection. This year will be no different, and Lima has already started preparing for it, as she tells the Daily Telegraph.
Walking down the catwalk in lingerie (and giant feather wings) might seem like a piece of cake, but one shouldn't forget that this is lingerie we're talking about, so the girls must look their best.
Adriana works with a personal trainer to prepare for the show.
“She lifts weights, she boxes, she jumps rope – and starting three weeks ago, she’s been doing it twice a day,” the Daily Telegraph writes, after speaking to the gorgeous model.

“She also sees a nutritionist who measures out exactly what she needs to stay healthy but also keep her svelte. She drinks a gallon of water a day,” says the same media outlet about Lima's preparations.
And this is only the beginning.
“Then, nine days before the show, she says goodbye to solid foods and drinks only protein shakes. She is allowed to stop drinking that daily gallon of water and just drink normally until 12 hours before the show,” the Daily Telegraph further reports.
This is when she stops eating and drinking altogether: 12 hours to the show, Lima goes fasting in a bid to “dry out,” claiming you can lose “up to eight pounds” this way.
It's a huge sacrifice, but Adriana says it's totally worth it.
“It opens up so many doors, everyone knows your name, the whole world knows you now. Any model in this world would love to be an Angel,” she says.
