This past Monday, a zoo in the Mexican city of Leon presented its visitors with a rather unique opportunity: that of becoming acquainted with a rare white lion cub.
Specialists explain that this particular cub is not an albino. Thus, its peculiar body color must be linked to mutations of a subspecies of such big cats.
Sources inform us that the cub was born about a month ago, on the 14th of September, but that up until now it kept away from the public eye, as it was quite busy making heads and Tails of life outside its mother's womb.
Truth be told, its wobbly ways of getting around suggest that it still has a lot of learning to do.
Just for the record, human communities in South Africa have a deep respect for such white lions, and consider them divine.
