Keepers at Zoo Miami in the United States are happy to announce that they have recently had the chance to come face to face with the four lion cubs living in captivity at this facility for the first time ever.

The cubs were born on March 6, and, during their first month of life, they interacted with nobody except their mom. Thus, the lion family remained hidden inside its den, and caretakers at Zoo Miami settled for keeping tabs on the felines with the help of cameras. Zoo Borns tells us that, last week, keepers separated mom Kashifa from its offspring, and managed to have a close look at the cubs. They determined that the baby lions were all healthy and well nourished, and then allowed them to return to their mom.

Despite the fact that keepers at Zoo Miami have officially met the four lion cubs, visitors to Zoo Miami will have to wait a while longer before they too get to see the baby felines in person. This is because it will be several weeks until the lion family makes its public debut.

Judging by how cute the lion cubs look, there is little doubt that, when they finally leave their den and set out to explore the great outdoors, fans will flock to Zoo Miami to see them.
