Staff at Tulsa Zoo in the US has recently announced that the facility is now home to an adorable jaguar cub that was born here about two weeks ago.

Zoo Borns tells us that the cub was born to mom Ixchel and dad Bebeto, on March 26. Its mom delivered not one but two offspring, but, unfortunately, the cub's sibling died at birth.

Tulsa Zoo employees are keeping a close eye on the jaguar family with the help of remote cameras, and say that Ixchel appears to be doing a very good job looking after the cub.

Thus, the jaguar mom has been observed to nurse it on a regular basis and also be quite attentive to its needs, caretakers detail.

Due to the fact that the cub is still very young, it is not yet on public display. On the contrary, the jaguar family is hidden from curious gazes inside a den that visitors to the zoo do not have access to.

Vets working with Tulsa Zoo have not yet had the chance to closely examine the cub and, therefore, cannot say whether it is a boy or a girl. However, you can be sure that, the moment this mystery is finally solved, you will hear about it here.
