Those enjoying the how-to’s over at tv.adobe.com can now do so on their iPhone and / or iPad, according to Bob Donlon, founder and general manager of Adobe TV.

Adobe TV is Adobe's online TV network that offers free training, inspiration, and information about the products and services created and sold / offered by Adobe Systems Inc.

Aiming to aggregate the best of Adobe's expertise and community in a single place, tv.adobe.com lets users save episodes, subscribe to their favorite channel, and even post videos on their blog.

The portal itself has been coded and delivered using Adobe software and technologies.

In a blog post, Donlon confirms the launch of a new, mobile-centric Adobe TV service, “which means you can now watch all your favorite Adobe TV videos on your iPad, iPhone, iPod, Android phone, and Android tablet.”

To access the mobile-optimized content, owners of either of these devices must simply visit tv.adobe.com from their tablet or phone.

Donlon says this was by far the most requested, “and it was no small task.”

“I am really proud of what my team has accomplished with this, and once I’ve gotten some sleep I’ll be sharing some of the challenges we faced in pulling this off,” he writes.

Before signing off, though, Donlon takes a minute to explain that iOS support in particular was a big focus of this project.

Plain and simple, “we added iPad/iPhone support because our customers asked for it,” he says.

Trying to clear the air of any potential speculation, he upholds, ”There’s no subtext related to Flash, which we continue to use to deliver our content onto Flash-supported devices.”

Speaking on behalf of the entire team at Adobe Systems, he says “We believe in delivering our content to all platforms and devices that are meaningful to our audience.”

“We also believe in using our own tools, the best authoring tools on the planet, to create cross-platform, cross-device experiences,” Donlon concludes.
