Adobe Systems has updated its Version Cue Server to Version CS4 4.0.1, delivering performance improvements and new functionality. A Drive and Services Update, released simultaneously, addresses critical bugs and performance issues in CS4.
Talking about the Version Cue Server 4.0.1 update, Adobe reveals that the new release is aimed at providing performance improvements to Adobe Version Cue Server.
According to the company responsible for you watching YouTube all day long, it also adds functionality for migrating Creative Suite 3 Version Cue projects to Creative Suite 4. Installing the Adobe Drive and Services Update is highly recommended to provide compatibility with this update, Adobe claims.
The system requirements for this update are the same as for Adobe Creative Suite Master Collection, which include:
- Multicore Intel processor;
- Mac OS X v10.4.11–10.5.4;
- Java 1.5; 2GB of RAM (more RAM recommended when running multiple components);
- 1,280x900 display with OpenGL 2.0–compatible graphics card;
- some GPU-accelerated features require graphics support for Shader Model 3.0;
- dedicated 7200 RPM hard drive for DV and HDV editing;
- striped disk array storage (RAID 0) for HD;
- SCSI disk subsystem preferred;
- Core Audio–compatible sound card;
- QuickTime 7.4.5 software required for QuickTime and multimedia features.
Lastly, a broadband Internet connection is required for online services.
